The life changing LiFi

Since WiFi's  accidental discovery by Australian Electrical engineer Dr. John O Sullivan, WiFi has revolutionized the digital communication and makes about 60% of the world's internet traffic. With all of these, WiFi has some issues
 1. its has varied signals
 2. it is not secure because the signal can travel through walls and can get picked by another user.

The reason for all of these is that WiFi uses radio waves to transmit data.We can improve this technology by looking at something that is cheap, safe, plentiful and more advanced for data transfer. The answer to this is light since it is a part of electromagnetic spectrum like radio waves but have much higher frequency i.e the waves can carry energy cycle at faster rate . Light has frequency range 10000 times greater than radio waves. That means it has the capacity to transmit large amount of data in less time. The concept of light being used as medium to transfer internet data has been coined as LIFI that means 'light fidelity' . This technology is founded by Harald Hass.

Lifi is high speed bi - directional networked and mobile communication of data using light. A normal remote control have infrared rays which transmit low speed single stream data at the rate of 10000-20000 bits per second which cannot even load YouTube videos. But Harald Hass has developed a technology through which thousand of multiple stream data at much higher speed in parallel using new LED bulb.

APPLICATIONS
The application of LiFi are limitless. Anywhere there is an LED light there can be data. Lifi is a platform technology that will  extend the capabilities of wireless communications to places beyond even our current  conception.
Today there are real life applications and benefits for implementing Lifi. It can enable secure wireless communications, connectivity in RF hostile environments such as petrochemical plants and hospitals. It also provides high speed, dense and reliable networks for enterprise environments and a pathway to enable smart building, transport, cities and nation.

BENEFITS
1. Secure- Light can be contained and it cannot travel through walls, which means signal can be secured in physical space.
2.Density- Lifi can achieve approximately 1000 times data density of WiFi offering more data per sq.meter. This is an important factor for wireless efficiency.
3.Smart lighting - Any private or public lighting including street lamps can be used as Lifi hotspot and the same  communication infrastructure can be  used to monitor and control lighting and data.
4.Location Services- Lifi systems are fully networked and each Lifi enabled light has a unique IP address which means advanced geofencing can be deployed simply in a Lifi network.

BLACK HOLE & SPACE-TIME RELATION

BLACK HOLE & SPACE-TIME RELATION                                 W e are all pretty familiar with the term  'Black   Hole' . Well, what does it really mean? Firstly, the 'Black Hole' is not black at all. It is a kind of void from which light cannot escape. According to the general theory of relativity, proposed by Sir Albert Einstein, the black hole is that region of space and time, where the gravitational attraction is so strong that nothing can escape from or through it. A huge, enormous amount of mass is concentrated over a very small volume. And, consequently, the density of the black hole becomes incredibly strong. ⮚       Formation of the 'Black Hole':  Well, so far as the creation of the black hole is concerned, it is speculated that if the centre of an enormously distributed star collapsed and, as a result, the 'SUPERNOVA EXPLOSION' occurred. The...

NEUROIMAGING IN IDENTIFYING DISORDERS

NEUROIMAGING IN IDENTIFYING DISORDERS Neuroimaging deals with the in vivo applications of various techniques to illustrate and study the structural & functional characteristics of the nervous system. Neuroimaging can be classified into two categories: • Structural neuroimaging, which involves the imaging of the structure of the nervous system and the diagnosis of intracranial injuries and tumours. • Functional imaging, which involves the study and diagnosis of metabolic diseases and cognitive research. The most widely used techniques involved in the process of neuroimaging are: 1. Computed Tomography (CT) or Computed Axial Tomography (CAT), in which X-ray images of the brain from various directions are taken and presented as cross-sections of the brain. 2. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), which uses magnetic fields and radio waves to obtain high-resolution 2D or 3D images of the brain. 3. Positron Emission Tomography (PET), which measures emissions from radioac...

EMOTION SENSING TECHNOLOGY

Emotion is a mental state associated with the nervous system brought on by chemical changes variously associated with thoughts, feelings, behavioural responses, and a degree of pleasure or displeasure. Reading and understanding emotions can lead to wide-ranging opportunities. Emotion sensing technologies are being widely used in many applications to effectively understand the users' mood and use that information to do something productive. EMOTION SENSING TECHNOLOGIES can be used in various fields such as personal robots, driverless cars, educational software, consumer electronic devices, video games etc and is on the verge of becoming the next big thing. THE TECHNOLOGY INVOLVED: SKIN CONDUCTANCE SENSORS: Skin conductance (SC) is an index of sympathetic nervous system (SNS) activation and emotional arousal. To measure skin conductance, a small electrical potential is applied between two electrodes strapped or taped to the palmer side of the hand, and the amount of ...
